brief description

A nice little project with some tricky elements to it, we were tasked with putting new shade nets over the existing guest areas, this needed to look like it wasn’t an after thought and it was quite tricky working around guests. In addition, we were to convert 2 containers into a new kitchen, and we got an opportunity to install one of our Impi Canvas tents to be used as a Private Guides Tent.

brief description

Probably one of our most enjoyable projects. I lovely Dutch couple who have a vision for an Ecotourism venture in Botswana. We were asked to upgrade their living tent into a tent that can be used for guests at a later stage and to be used as a starting point for the rest of their project. We look forward to working with Rinze and Regina and helping them achieving what they have set out to do.

Xugana Island Lodge

brief description

Quite possibly one of the most spectacular locations in the Okavango, Xugana was a complete rebuild and we had the opportunity to redo their back of house and staff village. New staff accommodation along with a laundry, main kitchen and fly kitchen. As always we have used these projects to improve our products and strengthen the healthy relationship we have with the team at D&D.

Camp Okuti - Staff Village

brief description

A Ker and Downey run camp situated right on the water’s edge in Moremi game reserve. We were tasked with rebuilding the staff village and management units. Quite a challenging build through one of the wettest rainy seasons for the last few years. The rising water table led to some on site thinking to get the septic tanks in and make sure the buildings don’t sink over time.

brief description

While on site for the staff village build, we were tasked with constructing a new fly kitchen next to the guest dining area. This involved joining a new thatched roof to the old one and blending the kitchen into the existing structure. In addition, we were to refurbish areas of the decking which were worn. Quite a challenge in the rainy season but we got here in the end

brief description

A nice project and our First opportunity to work with the Mochaba group. We designed and built their main Kitchen, staff canteen, a cold and freezer room as well as storage facilities. In addition, we installed a fly kitchen on their main guest area.

brief description

This was our first opportunity to work for Natural Selections at their new camp Mokolwane. We were tasked with providing 2 x blocks of staff accommodation and ablutions using our unique modular building system. A great little project and we are very grateful to have the opportunity to work for one of the premier companies in the Okavango.

Savuti Safari Lodge

brief description

This was our first opportunity to not only build an entire staff village but to work with the prestigious Desert and Delta group of camps. It put our company to the test and was by far the largest project we had taken on. The build went well, the product worked well, and it was the beginning of a longstanding professional relationship with the team at D&D.

A new addition to the Desert and Delta portfolio. We were again tasked with rebuilding their staff accommodation as well as the main area kitchen. It’s a privilege to work for a company who gives you support and allows you to improve on your products along the way and we were happy to work at such a beautiful camp with an amazing wetland experience.

brief description

A fantastic little project involving building a new kitchen at a fantastic fishing camp based on the edge of the main channel feeding the delta. A lovely team of people to get to know and has led to a great relationship with the client. This was our first kitchen using our unique modular building system and we are happy how it came out and how it has functioned for the client since its installation

We will forever be great full to Eugene and his team at Unchartered Africa. They gave us our first opportunity to build staff accommodation using our very own modular building system. A fantastic group of people to work for who have certainly mastered the art of doing their own camp builds with the result having a unique Unchartered Africa feel to it.

brief description

This was our first project testing out our very own modular building system. Liz asked us to build a cottage on the Boro River for Margret on a vacant plot next to her daughter Gogs. Such a pleasure being involved in this project with these three ladies and very great full for the opportunity to put the product to test in a home environment too
