Building More Than Camps
Building Communities.

Our commitment extends beyond construction,
creating positive impact for people, wildlife, and the places we work

Corporate Social Responsibility

At Camp Logic, we believe that sustainable development is about more than just infrastructure – it’s about supporting the communities and environments that make Botswana unique. Through partnerships and hands-on involvement, we are proud to contribute to initiatives that protect wildlife, uplift local communities, and improve livelihoods in the Okavango Delta and beyond.

From working alongside the Okavango Human Wildlife Foundation to tackle human-wildlife conflict, to building community facilities such as the Lakawa Kgotla and Police Substation, and even constructing a safe home for a family in Tsau village, our CSR projects reflect our core values: responsibility, compassion, and action.

Giving Back. Building Forward.
Supporting communities, protecting wildlife, creating lasting change.

Okavango Human Wildlife Foundation

Camp Logic is proud to be able to work alongside the Okavango Human Wildlife Foundation, an organisation whose purpose is to assist with the ever-growing human wildlife conflict, probably the less glamorous side of conservation but certainly one of the most important challenges we face in Botswana and across the world.

When you have a scenario like the Okavango Delta, a successful conservation and wildlife area, the animal populations thrive and sometimes spill over the boundaries, likewise the human population is growing and the boundaries become more populated, which inevitably leads to conflict.

We have therefor donated an office and space for OHWF to operate from, and we are currently working on agricultural projects aiming to offer sustainable incomes and improved livelihoods for those living on the outskirts of the delts and to those who may have been injured or effected by the wildlife that lives in these areas.

Lakawa Kgotla and Police Substation

We were approached by the Matlapaneng community to assist with a Kgotla and Police Substation which was to be used for the local Kgotla activities as well as provide a sub station whereby the police can organise patrols and community involvement to try and combat crime in the area. We were happy to assist, and we hope the new facility works well and provides the community with much needed police support.

TSAU House

When we were working on a project at Camp Okuti one of the staff there asked if she could buy some material from us. When asked what for she explained that there was an old lady in her village whose house was washed away from the rains, and she had children with no place to stay.

We then committed to building her a small home and sent our team out to her village to construct a 6m x 3m timber house using materials we had removed from site. It was a very successful project and Mma Merero was beyond grateful for her new home. All of the Camp Logic Staff were very happy to be getting involved in such a project and we would like to thank OHWF for organising the community involvement and handover in such a professional manner.

Shinde Footsteps

brief description

A nice little project with some tricky elements to it, we were tasked with putting new shade nets over the existing guest areas, this needed to look like it wasn’t an after thought and it was quite tricky working around guests. In addition, we were to convert 2 containers into a new kitchen, and we got an opportunity to install one of our Impi Canvas tents to be used as a Private Guides Tent.

brief description

This was our first opportunity to not only build an entire staff village but to work with the prestigious Desert and Delta group of camps. It put our company to the test and was by far the largest project we had taken on. The build went well, the product worked well, and it was the beginning of a longstanding professional relationship with the team at D&D.
